This page contains important information about account registration for the Prosper Developer platform. The audience is all existing and new Investor API developers.

Note: Partners wishing to register to use Prosper Borrower Services should contact Prosper Business Development to register at [email protected].

You’ll need to register your client from your API settings page on your account. If you are registering with Prosper as a third-party agent, wait until Prosper grants you that permission before registering your client.

Individual Investors

If you are an individual investor (You are making investments on your own Prosper account only):

  • Whether you’re an individual or institutional investor, sign in to your Prosper account on prosper.com and register your app at the following URL:
    https://www.prosper.com/oauth#/settings
  • When you register your app, Prosper will generate a client id and secret for you. You will use this client id and secret to make API calls.

If a Third Party Agent makes investments on your behalf
Watch for announcements from your Third Party Agent. They’ll be in touch with a link for you to grant them permission to access your Prosper account. Once you grant permission, you will continue to use their service uninterrupted.
